Story-telling Contest
The NCS is going to host a school-wide story-telling contest around the theme GOOD MANNER this yer. As I have discussed in class, here are some basic information on the contest.
When: Oct. 19 (the week after Fall Break)
Where: In our classroom
What to prepare: A Chinese story-telling script + picture cues slide + recording
In order to better prepared our students for this contest, I have made a graphic organizer to help people think through this process. However, the graphic organizer is just a tool to help you prepared. You don't have to complete the graphic organizer before writing the script, though same requirment applies to the final scripts.
Requirments:
1. Your topic could be anything about yourself, things you like to do, or even borrow from our textbook. Though, it has to be tied back with good mannar. Whether it is how you practice good mannar in your story of your life, or you could talk about something you have seen before on a trip/ on a daily basis that migh not be good manner.
2. Good Manner could be in many different shapes or forms. As long as you can argue and justified your definition in your story-telling. We will buy it.
3. You need to use at least 2 different grammar structure that we learned in class so far.
Ex. A +比+ B + Adj.
the usage of “了”
the usage of “会” as meaning will.
adj + （一）点儿
the adverb 又 （again）
Adj/V + 是 +Adj/V +可是/但是
一....也/都...不/没.....
Important Due Dates：
1. All final script (TYPED in a word document) need to be turned in by e-mail
before 10/12.
2.After you recieved feedback from me, make changes accordingly and practice presenting
it in Chinese. A sound recording from each student need to be turned in through E-mail
before 10/18.
